New life!

Sometimes life  does not turned out like we want it to be. The prince and the princess did not live happily ever after.  One of our loved ones passed away although we dont want it to be. Or maybe getting terminal desease in such a young age. Different story, different lives, but life must go on.

There is sorrow in the midst of us, but we try to be positive and be merry.

So this time Julie made a get together party in her new place.

She made her new home very cozy!

After a stressing week with work and school, housework and million things to do, I just have to prioritize having fun time with friends. I told my husband about it and he said to me " Put on a sexy dress my dear". Sexy dress? Where can I found one? Of course in my daughters wardrobe. I ask my daughter if I can borrow one, and this is what I found.

But I felt so naked, so I put a blazer on. Much better for a fifty year old  me:)

When I arrived, I was surprised to meet these fellowcountry men for the first time who works two hours away from this place.

What we have in common? They too misses their families in the Philippines.

Two of those guys are lucky because their wives are with them now.

Meet these beautiful ladies who helped Julie made these foods that made us feel home!

Pancit is a must in every gathering!

And rice that we can't live without.

Julie asking if we want some more:)

And again, picture taking of the guests....

Singing time!

And group picture before I leave the young ones to find my soft bed, coz grandma was really exhausted, but happy.

Until next time friends!

Joy

Kaya kami nakadamit na katulad suot ko ay may heater sa loob na house. Or else makapal na coat at jacket suot namin pag nasa labas:)

  22. Julie has made her home look lovely. And, you look very young in your daughters dress..good on you. It is hard living away from your own country and I know you gravitate towards people from whence you came. I lived in the USA for 3 years and missed my Ozzie friends. We laugh a lot together, and although Americans laugh, its not as much as us.. So finally I found a girl from Australia living only about 10 miles away. We were both so glad to find each other.
Now I am back living in my own country again and I miss many of the friends I made back there.

  23. Wow! you have the same dresses size with your daughter,so sweet of your daughter to lend her dress, you look stunning with blazer.Agree with you,Joy,we have one common as well as,missing our families in the Philippines-and Filipino get together is my outlet para di masyado ma-homesick.

BTW-have a safe trip,i'm not going to go home this year in Philippines, too much going on and we have too much going on with my Parents-in-law as they celebrates their 50th wedding anniversary and 70th birthday this year and we want to give something for them this year.

    Enjoy your vacation dear.
